How can I book a charter or find out if a specific date is available?
Call Captain Chris Jamail at 409-737-4377 (office) or 832-860-5577 (cell). Or send
an email: hooksetcharters@att.net. He can reserve a date for you.
What kind of fish will we catch?
We will be fishing for speckled trout, redfish, and flounder. We also offer
trips for tarpon and shark fishing.
All of these species are native to the Texas Gulf Coast.
What should we bring with us on a charter?
Bring what you want to eat and/or drink. Dress appropriately for the weather.
Bring sunscreen and a hat during the summer. Be sure to bring a valid Texas Fishing License with Saltwater Stamp.
All rods, reels, bait/tackle, ice, and fish preparation is provided. Customers may also bring
their own fishing equipment if they prefer to do so.
Where will we be fishing?
Galveston's bay complex which includes Christmas Bay, West Bay, East Bay,
and Trinity Bay. Also, we fish offshore near Galveston Island. The specific area for each charter depends upon the current
location of fish.
Where do we meet you?
That will depend upon the specific area for the charter. Captain Chris will provide
full details when taking your reservation.
Can we bring our kids?
Captain Chris works especially well with kids. He understands that they require
extra attention and he will work with them to make sure they have a fun,
memorable experience. Today's little ones are tomorrow's great fishermen!
What kind of boat do you have?
Captain Chris operates a 25-foot Boston Whaler with a center console. This allows
for a party of 4 to fish comfortably.
